Someone asked me once about how do you work from Premiere to After Effects and my first an Since switching to Premiere Pro, my editing workflow has been to lock picture in Premiere and then finish in After Effects. To date I've been using a workflow similar to the one I'd use when editing in Final Cut Pro, which was to import a final sequence into After Effects (either as an XML or by using Premiere Pro as an intermediary), and apply color correction, titling, and other effects in AE. Another great tip for fast workflow is to double click on the After Effects composition inside Premiere Pro and this will bring up the actual source in the source monitor and then right click on the clip in the timeline and choose “Replace With Clip – From Source Monitor”. The clip will auto-update and now we can re-render it again If you are creating lyric videos from scratch in After Effects, break up the audio track into phrases that are no longer than 8 bars of music or a sentence or two and create a new comp for each phrase, then render all of the sections and do the final edit in Premiere Pro (sounds like more work but it is more efficient and faster if you stay organized) The blend layers stop in After Effects.
